Men as imitators?

Maybe it’s not really the case. But I’ve always thought men do more and better imitations of sounds and of other people’s voices. IF that’s true, I wonder if evolution plays some part in that. Perhaps the hunters who were able imitate animal sounds were more successful.

But women are generally more gifted linguistically. And better able to discern subtle variations in tone (or whatever) that are sending less overt pieces of the overall message.
